Who Looks Weak Now

Here's a wonderful little article for all the Obama haters on The Daily Kos.

Conservative critics of President Obama long have derided him as weak. Intellectual, reserved, unemotional.

What do you think? Wasn't it a decisive move to get the General to resign on the part of Obama? I agree with Phuck Politics, though. Being just another puppet, Obama's gesture in this instance will change nothing.

What's your opinion? Please leave a comment.

  1. It's a mind-blower that the master strategist was out-witted by musician feller reporters. What a maroon! Little things like this cheer me up.

That being said, I am dead set against useless, meaningless, wars of aggression, imperialism and control. Look, the nineteen guys that planned September 11th were fucking Saudis. Maybe the Taliban deserved to get their asses kicked for allowing them in their country, but for crying out loud, the time was eight years ago. What the hell are we doing in Afghanistan? I blame Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, et al for the very creation of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Al Qaeda in Pakistan, Al Qaeda in New Jersey or even for the continued existence of Al Qaeda in San Diego. But Obama had a chance to change these policies and try to make things right. He just lets the Pentagon brass lead him around by the nose. I am much more than disappointed. He doesn't get that war is wrong except when preventing genocide. He has disillusioned all of us anti-war hippies beyond any possible redemption.

I say issue an immediate no killing except in self-defense order for all soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Put somebody like Dennis Kucinich or Abbie Hoffman in charge of the military and immediately change the mission to a gigantic Peace Corps and United Nations mission of humanitarian aid and economic and agricultural assistance.

One man's opinion. Is anybody with me?

  2. Flying Junior, Thanks for the comment which I liked very much. Did you ever read the book "A Confederacy of Dunces"? There's a wonderful anti-war chapter about the gay generals being put in charge. It's fantastic.
