Horrible Murder Suicide in Nebraska

A student opened fire at Millard South High School in Omaha on Wednesday, killing one person, wounding another and causing students to take cover, the authorities said. No motive was apparent for the shooting of the principal, Curtis Case, and the vice principal, Vicki Kasper, who later died. After the shootings the student, Robert Butler Jr., 17, was found dead in a car about a mile away from the school after shooting himself, said the Omaha police chief, Alex Hayes. Mr. Butler is the son of an Omaha police detective.
I know the "individual responsibility" crowd won't like it, but I'd like to know more about daddy the cop. Was this kid one of the lucky ones who grew up with guns and had them "demystified." Where did a teenager in Nebraska get a gun anyway and where did he learn this extreme behaviour?

  1. Cops are just as bad as the guntards. Just because they have a badge, they feel their above the law.

Even LE gun regulation is too loose. There is no reason for an off duty cop having a gun at home. They should be checked in, and out before and after completing one's work day.

  2. Of course, because a bad guy would never think of targeting a cop when he's off duty, and besides, they don't deserve the right to defend themselves!
