Tulsa Gun Club Theft

The police chief was just shocked.

I realize these people don't enjoy the highest of educational opportunities in their state, but leaving guns just lying around in a building like that is asking for them to be stolen. This is a good example of where the "victim" of the theft is partly responisble. The thief is 100% responsible for having stolen. But the "victims" of this crime are 100% guilty of being a stupid, sloppy, arrogant gun owners who thinks they can do whatever they wants with their guns.

What's your opinion? Please leave a comment.

  1. I realize these people don't enjoy the highest of educational opportunities in their state . . .

Regional bigotry just comes naturally to you, doesn't it?

  2. Lets apply your crime theory elsewhere:

This is a good example of where the "victim" of the rape is partly responisble. The rapist is 100% responsible for having raped. But the "victims" of this crime are 100% guilty of being a stupid, sloppy, arrogant tramp who thinks they can wear whatever they want or go wherever they please.

This is a good example of where the "victim" of the drunk driver is partly responisble. The drunk is 100% responsible for having drank then drove. But the "victims" of this crime are 100% guilty of being a stupid, sloppy, arrogant driver or passenger who thinks they can go wherever they want in their own car. If the "victim" hadn't been driving when the bars closed, this wouldn't have happened.

  3. Zerroy's kvetching about mikeb30200 denigrating a whole class of people, how richly ironic.

    FatWhiteMan:

    Wrong, as usual. That's all.

  4. You know, I might have said it differently than you Mike, but the truth is that leaving guns laying around is not a smart practice. They should have been locked in a cabinet or a safe when not in use.

I don't agree that their lack of good judgment has to do with where they are from. They got lazy and made a huge mistake.

I bet some heads are gonna roll.

  5. This is a good example of where the "Blogger" is partly responsible for having their ass handed to them. FatWhiteMan is 100% responsible for his statement, but the "Blogger" is 100% guilty of being a stupid, sloppy, arrogant blogger who thinks he can write whatever he wants on his blog.

    ;)

  6. Demo, I agree it is wrong but it is Mike's theory, not mine.

  7. This is a good example of where the Uncle Owen and Aunt Buru were partly responisble. The Stormtroopers were 100% responsible for having shot and burned them. But the "victims" of this crime are 100% guilty of being a stupid, sloppy, arrogant outer rim trash who thinks they can lie to the Galactic Empire whenever they please. They should have just told them where the droids were.

  8. @FatWhiteMan

    Sir, you win +1 Internets.

No, here, take +2 (they're small).

  9. Police losing guns? That's never happened before.

  10. Stay in Italy. We're happier without you and your absence raised test scores I'n NYC by six points.

  11. Uh, no, FatWhiteMan, I was making fun of your insistence that your ridiculous examples were somehow equivalent to what mikeb30200 said. But, then again, as I said, wrong as usual.

    Mikeb30200:

You do seem to draw the pus out of your gunnutz.

  12. This is a good example of where FatWhiteMan is partly responisble. The DemmoCommie was 100% responsible for having posted something saying that FatWhiteman was wrong. But FatWhiteMan is 100% guilty of not understanding what the hell DemoCommie is babbling about.

  13. Mark Steele interpreted my remarks in a way that perhaps even you super-sensitive and extremely touchy gun guys can appreciate.

  14. P, That's pretty funny coming from you who never learned how to write in English. I don't generally comment on the grammar and spelling mistakes people make like Zorroy does, but you leave me no choice by attacking my "test scores."

You should stick to making your wacky extremist gun arguments, at least you have some company there.

I forgot to ask this earlier--would you say these poor, uneducated Tulsa sheriff's deputies have more, or less going on intellectually, than the screened for low IQ New London, CT cops?

I know I give New London a hard time over that, but actually, I understand it. Connecticut (Brady Campaign-ranked 4th most draconian) has, after all, very draconian gun laws, even by U.S. standards. Obviously, when hiring enforcers of such laws, you'd want only thugs stupid enough to believe that such laws were not an abomination.

  16. The Brady Scorecard is a joke anyway. 10% of a perfect score is based on requiring Ballistic Fingerprinting and Microstamping. Both of which do not prevent or even solve crimes.

  17. This is a good example of where the "victim" of gun control is the law abiding citizen. The gun control folks are 100% responsible for having pushed for retarded laws that protect criminals only. But the "victims" of this crime are 100% guilty of being a law abiding gun owners who by not being prohibited persons or criminals, are the only ones that can be prosecuted under the gun control farce.

Yeah, that's why I described their ranking system as grading on how draconian the laws are, rather than on those laws' efficacy for saving lives--which, of course, is not the point of Brady Campaign-supported laws.

In fact, our gracious blog host even admits that the Brady Campaign doesn't give a fuck about saving lives:

Well, that's the thing, Zorro. Nobody ever said the Brady folks were about saving lives. You said that and then you gave examples of how it makes no sense.

What they say is they're into reducing gun violence.

  19. Zorroy, That's a prtty embarrassing headline for the New London Police, but it reminds me more of the business practice of not hiring over-qualified people expecting that they'll grow bored with the unchallenging work than it does the presumed education level in Oklahoma.

Maybe in Tulsa they never had such a candidate.

  20. I still think my hypothesis is a far better explanation. Connecticut's draconian gun laws can only be enthusiastically enforced by low-brow, petty tyrant goons. That, obviously, rules out intelligent, thoughtful peace officers, devoted to the rule of law and to their oath to uphold the Constitution.
