And We In Minnesota Are One of the Most Peaceful States, Right?

And yet, this seems to be quite a lot of continuing gun violence, compared to jurisdictions that just have fewer guns.

We're free - to die in greater numbers than the equally free people who live in countries where guns are regarded more sanely for what they are - weapons - and where people expect to live with less reliance on WEAPONS.

Police ID man who killed co-workers in Brooklyn Park before killing himself

Authorities released the identity Monday afternoon of the man who fatally shot two fellow employees in the break room of a Brooklyn Park grocery store, then fled to Minneapolis and killed himself near the Mississippi River.
Aaron L. Parson, 23, of Brooklyn Park died Friday night of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
Michael Habte, 21, and his girlfriend, Abigail M. Fedeli, 20, both of Brooklyn Park, were fatally shot by Parson, who also worked at Festival Foods but was off-duty. Parson apparently was fueled by jealousy when he stormed into the break room and shot the two.
Parson's body was found near the Washington Avenue Bridge not long after the killings.
Fedeli was shot once in the neck, according to the medical examiner. Habte died while in surgery at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale; he was shot multiple times, the medical examiner said.
All three were "long-term, current employees who were well-respected," said Tom Clasen, vice president of operations for Knowlan's Super Markets Inc., which operates Festival Foods.
According to a friend of Habte's, the shooter used to date Fedeli. Habte had been dating Fedeli for a month or two, said Andrew Hawkinson, a friend of Habte's since they were in first grade.
