Lockyer SKS Confiscation letters.

I was able to talk to someone at the California DoJ's Bureau of Firearms, Renee (she's the only Renee there) about the following letter. The Phone call was ID as coming from 916-263-4887.

She said these letters were so old that she was unable to confirm their authenticity.

As I said, these are useful for picking up dog poop.

  1. Thank you Laci for following up on that for all of us.

I would further point out that Bill Lockyer is the current state treasurer of the state of California, having been elected to that position in 2006 and 2010.

My approach, given how long Lockyer has been actively in politics - he's held elective office pretty much continuously since 1973 - was to go looking for any kind of oppositional advertizing that brought up these documents to use against Lockyer. He was AG from 1999 through 2006.

Not that political adverts or political accusations are particularly factual. If they were factual and accurate, politifact.com and factcheck.org would have nothing much to do.

Lockyer is somewhat notorious for his colorful and controversial statements. If his opponents had something like this on him, they would have run with it.

They didn't. That tells me this is SO invalid, so blatantly a fraud, that no one opposing Lockyer would touch it, because the blowback would be too strong for using fake documents.

  2. These documents are on a par with the fake Kenya birth certificate that Orly Taitz was promoting-and I would remind you, Orly Taitz is another California licensed lawyer, if you are relying on legal credentials to support this. Clearly, in California THAT doesn't mean shit, if you will pardon my blunt and earthy language.

If they had anything real, you can bet that someone would have gotten the original using FOIA.

So if anyone here still thinks these are legit, I would suggest that you go FOIA a copy of the original. IF it was real, there would be some record somewhere in an archive that you can force the government to dig out for you.

So, if you are so convinced this is the real deal, that it ever existed, I suggest you pop for a FOIA request for it. Even draft letters appear to be covered under the California Public Records Act.

To assist you in that endeavor, I am providing you with all the information that you could possibly need, so you have no excuses:

I think Laci and I have done more than our fair share of research trying to document these letters. I am confident in declaring them fakes.

But hey, go ahead and prove my research wrong, if you can. Put up,or.....you know the rest of the phrase.

Real draft letters don't have one signature, much less two. And the signatures on this woudn't have come from these two particular people if they WERE legit. And then there is the issue of lack of correct letterhead, and this would not have gone out as an informational bulletin, etc.

This is a hoax, and anyone who uses critical thinking would have recognized it as such after giving it a good looking over.
