More on the Oklahoma 15-Year-old - She Died

The other day when we posted this story, she was in critical condition. She later died in the hospital. The local pastor sums up the general attitude perfectly, no outrage about the gun availability.

  1. What exactly do you expect him to say Mike? Were you hoping he would go on TV making a statement in favor of background checks? What is the pastor's job right now? Perhaps to provide spiratual comfort to the grieving?
The Sheriff is still investigating, so the true cause has yet to be determined.

    1. I would like the pastor to show a little concern for all the other numbskull parishioners who have guns lying around the house. Maybe a reminder to put the fucking guns away (I wouldn't expect that language, of course).

    2. I dont think much more needs be said considering the up close lesson on the subject. Perhaps after they bury their dead. Things do occasionally get done without media supervision.

    3. In other words, Mikeb, you were hoping he would follow your narrative and turn into a gun control supporter?

    4. Well, I don't know if I was actually hoping that. I did think he must be a gun lover himself to not have mentioned it. You guys are loyal to one another, I'll give you that.

    5. You said a while ago that people who experience gun violence will become gun control supporters.

    6. Yeah, I think most victims of gun violence and their families do move towards the gun control side, but what's that got to do with this?
