North Dakota Lawful Gun Owner Arrested for Negligent Discharge

A man is injured following an accidental shooting.
A 24-year-old man was driving his vehicle along Railway Avenue around 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, when the incident occurred.
Twenty-five-year-old Joe Prince of Minot, a passenger inside the vehicle, was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Endangerment and possession of a Loaded Firearm in a Motor Vehicle.
The victim was taken to Trinity Hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound.

He might have had a concealed carry permit too, we'll never know because no one is checking.  He probably had plenty of safety training and instructions about the 4 Rules of Gun Safety.  But, you know what they say, accidents will happen.

What's your opinion?  Please leave a comment.

  1. "and possession of a Loaded Firearm in a Motor Vehicle."

    Mike,
This charge listed here would suggest that the man charged had no such permit. If you have a permit, it's normally quite legal to be in a car.
